and Dee, both of which pass through the fantastic landscapes of ancient Caledonian
pinewoods that are thriving with wildlife, tundra and flora. There are a great selection
of towns and villages that form part of the Park communities, villages such as Newtonmore,
Aviemore, Grantown on Spey and Braemar are just a small selection of locations that
you may wish to visit during a day out.
Inverness also provides a fantastic day out, with a great blend of a new modern centre
mixed in with the old Inverness, the famous Victorian market and old cobbled streets
make this trip well worthwhile, in addition to shopping Inverness also has some great
tourist attractions, you might even wish to take a trip to the shores of Loch Ness
which is only a short drive from the city centre.
A trip to the Moray coast is also within a short drive of your home, small fishing
villages such as Banff, Portsoy and Cullen offer a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants
and attractions that will keep you busy all day long. During the warmer months it
is not uncommon to see an abundance of wildlife in the warm waters, Whales, Seals
and Dolphins regularly swim close to the shoreline and are a great spectacle. Both
Banff and Cullen also have stunning beaches that are not overly busy.
